Call me Gundu.

Hope you’ve been having a good time da.

The weekend was a good time. I had my cousin visiting and this was the first time I met him after the pandemic began. It felt… satisfying.

Speaking of family, I’ve got a new one building up with my whole Dungeons & Dragons community. I’ve been creating a community there – and I am loving the way it’s shaping up too.

The blood of the covenant is thicker than the water of the womb – that’s how the saying goes – eh.. sure. Why not?

Anyway, in our journey through the framework, we’ve been working through the different elements of the trial loops, right? Once we’ve figured out our answers for each of them, we need to then go ahead and look at The Final Boss – the last milestone we need to hit.

In most behavioural games, this is a demonstration of the growth you’ve achieved. In some cases, it may well be the last milestone.

In my experience, I’ve noticed that this is best identified as a challenging task – something that the present version of you thinks is impossible.

Take for example, in my weight loss game, the final boss I need to defeat is “Be able to take my shirt off on the beach, without being ashamed/shy”.

I started this game when I was a 130kg. At that time, going shirtless was insane. I mean, I have more curves than most women I know.

But, that’s the milestone I need to hit.

That’s what the final boss is – the big bad evil genius I need to defeat.

Sure, I’m not even remotely close enough to do that right now. But that’s the point. I’ve gotta level up to get there.

Tomorrow, I’ll talk about how to convert this goal of mine into an actionable statement. It’s simple enough, but it makes a world of difference.

Alrightie!

Talk tomorrow, ok? Today’s a busy day. I’ve got 3 coaching clients and a D&D game to run today! Plus, working on some videos too!

Talk tomorrow.

For now, this is Arvindh “Gundu” Sundar saying over and out.
