Custom Monsters for TTRPGs with Midjourney

My daughter had the day off from school and I had to keep her engaged.

I decided to give her a drawing task.

I drew some basic shapes and I asked her to convert them into monsters.

This is what she drew:

Then, I got thinking – how can I use these in my ttrpg game?

Idea: Use AI to make monsters based on these.

Here’s how:

  1. Upload these images, individually, onto discord.
  2. Copy link of the images. You should get an url like this: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/996075004393431210/1285107175869517884/image.png?ex=66e910d2&is=66e7bf52&hm=845633ed27389d16af73baff2ef7d514acc6eb93f62f35a4b765b90819fe08b1&
  3. Clean the url so that it ends with a png or jpeg. It should look like this: https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/996075004393431210/1285107175869517884/image.png
  4. Then, use this as a prompt structure:
<image url><what you want the source image to be transformed into> <any additional parameters>

    My prompt looked like this:
https://cdn.discordapp.com/attachments/996075004393431210/1285107175869517884/image.png stylized cartoon illustration of a cute monster –p
  5. This generated an image like this:

That’s it! Have fun!

Here are some more images I’ve made like this:
