Solvitur ambulando

Hey macha!

Today’s walk was one of the best experiences in my life.

Honest.

There was a philosophical problem I was trying to solve for myself and was not making much meaningful progress with it. But today, I decided to mull it over in my walk.

It was for about 2 hours under an overcast sky. The breeze was gentle and the trees were dancing. I had my 2 masks on, my headphones playing Bach and I started talking to myself.

Arguing even.

Yes.. I must have looked like a madman, gesticulating and expounding rhetoric – but, at the 90 minute mark or so, I cracked it. I reached an epiphany that’s helped me make better sense of the world around me.

And now, as I’m sitting in the ground floor hall of my house, I have a packet of wasabi flavoured nori (edible seaweed) in celebration.

It makes the whole experience sweeter.

You know, life’s all about celebrating progress. All too often, we tend to focus on the grind and not the celebration.

Well, don’t.

In our personalized behaviour game, once you defeat the mini-boss, you level up – and get some loot!

In this part of the game design, think about how you’ll reward yourself for hitting the milestone. It should be something that’s important to you. It can be a material thing or an experience.

It can be anything you want it to be.

It’s your celebration!

So, tell me – what’s your favourite piece of loot?
