Trials. (And I’m so tired!)

The past week’s been a trial for me.

My daughter started school and I’ve just shifted into my new house. Along with that, I’ve launched a new brand, done some canvassing for new business and 90% done with a new course.

And, guess what? I discovered a new technique for productivity thanks to my friend and sparring partner (yes. we used to fight for fun.) Sujit called Animedoro.

Now, all of these things – good and bad, have been coming together at the same time. I’ll be honest. It’s been brutal.

That’s kinda the thing about trials, y’know? They feel brutal.

They’re a tangled mess of different problems that you need to handle. And if you’re taking them head on, without preparation, you’re in trouble.

But, when it comes to your own adventure, the trials are much MUCH easier to handle – because we’re gonna list down all the trials we’re going to face on our adventure.

That’s kinda the beauty of planning. You can think through things before you begin. And inevitably, when you have things that don’t go the way you planned, you have a library of things ready to reassemble to suit your situation.

And that’s what the Trials step in the framework is all about. In this step of the framework, list down the different challenges you will need to complete to finish your quest.

Think of them as the different milestones you’ll need to hit to achieve your goal. You could even call them the objectives you’re gunning for in your growth plan.

In my own pursuit of fitness, these are the trials I have to complete (milestones I have to hit):

– Eliminating Processed Food

– Fixing my diet

– Eliminating Sugar

– Fixing an exercise routine

You’ll notice that these are not specific or measurable or timebound. We’ll do that in the next step.

Go on.

Fill out your own little plan and add your own milestones that you want to hit. Share it with me too!

Ok. Now, it’s time for some chai. And a shave. I’m planning to keep a moustache!

We’ll talk tomorrow about the Trial Loops.

For now, this is Arvindh “Meesai” Sundar saying over and out.

P.s. The emails will be spotty for a few days da while I settle into a new routine. So, do bear with me. But you can always reach out to me at any time da. ok?
